2011 (Freshman): Competed in all seven meets...was YSU's second-best finisher at the Horizon League Championship placing 27th...had a time of 27:29 in the 8k event...was 152nd with a time of 33:31 at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional (10k)...was 23rd in collegiate debut at the Duquesne Duals with a time of 28:11 in the 8k race...finished 29th at the Akron Quad with a time of 21:48 in the four-mile race...was 30th at the Penn State Spiked Shoe Invitational with a time of 27:50...earned his first letter.

High School: Was a three-time letter winner in track...was named captain three times...set the school record in the two mile run (9:48)...placed third as a senior and sixth as a junior in the mile run at the Indoor State Championships...was named to the the All-County team three times...earned First Team All-League four times...qualified for State competition...awarded the league's MVP Runner his senior year...coach was Joey Brown...also played soccer...was named to the All-League team, Second Team All-District and All-County team...was the team MVP. 

Personal: Son of Anthony and Tally McLean...has a brother and a sister...academic interest is Physical Therapy...recipient of the 2012-13 Lester F. Donnell Scholarship.
