2011 (Junior): Competed in six of seven events...did not run in the Horizon League Championships...was 210th at the Great Lakes Regional with a time of 37:45 in the 10k event...was 41st at the Akron Quad (four miles) with a time of 23:28...placed 50th at the Duquesne Duals with a time of 30:00 (8k)...was 96th at the Spiked Shot Invitational with a time of 30:41 (5.2 miles)...earned his third letter.

2010 (Sophomore): Ran in six meets during the season ... was 88th at the Horizon League Championships with a time of 28:57 ... finished 40th at the Akron Quad Meet with a time of 22:53 ... was 90th at the BGSU Invitational with a time of 28:21 ... did not run at regionals ... earned his second letter.

2009 (Freshman): Competed in three of six meets during the year ... at the Horizon League Championships, had a time of 31:03 (8k) ... at the All-Ohio Championships posted a time of 31:29 ... at the BGSU Invitational, had a time of 29:12 ... earned his first letter.

High School: Was a four-year runner...coach was Noah Otieno...earned first-team Rift Valley Provisional honors...was the Cross Country Athlete of the Year (2006-07)...also played handball.

Personal: Parents are Zeddy and Richard Lang'at...has a brother and a sister...birthday is Jan. 11...academic interest is forensic science.
