Youngstown, Ohio — Chloe Jeffers has joined the Youngstown State women's basketball staff as a graduate assistant, YSU head coach Melissa Jackson announced Wednesday.
Jeffers comes to Youngstown after spending two seasons as a student assistant coach for the women's basketball program at Butler University.
"We are thrilled to welcome Chloe Jeffers to our staff as a graduate assistant," Jackson said. "Chloe brings energy, passion and a great work ethic to our program. I believe she really fits our culture and that this will be a great start to a successful coaching career."
In her two years as a student assistant coach for the Bulldogs, Jeffers had a variety of duties supporting head coach Austin Parkinson, a two-time Horizon League Coach of the Year at IU Indy before taking over at Butler. Jeffers helped with scouting and implementing team plays by using Hudl and Synergy software, and she aided in player development through individual workouts. Additionally, she charted deflections, offensive and defensive rebounds and charges to assist in playing-time decisions, and she helped supervise cultural standards to improve group dynamics.
Jeffers served as a social media content creator for Butler during the summer of 2024, utilizing the Adobe Creative Suite and Canva to create videos and graphics highlighting players' lives off the court.
Before moving into her role as a student assistant, Jeffers played guard for the Bulldogs during the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons. She served on Butler's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, helping to plan guest-speaker events and the Hinkle Award Show for 500 student-athletes. She also helped lead several community service initiatives.
Jeffers is a Delaware, Ohio, native who was a first-team all-state selection at Delaware Hayes. She set the school record for most points in a season and finished her career ranked third in program history in scoring. Jeffers earned her Bachelor of Arts in Art+Design from Butler in May while minoring in sport coaching and strategic communication.
