Orangeburg, S.C. – The Youngstown State men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 contest to South Carolina State on Friday afternoon.
The loss to the Bulldogs snapped an eight-match winning streak for the Penguins who are now 9-2 on the season.
SCSU won 6-1 at No. 1 and 6-1 at No. 2 doubles to earn the point. In singles, the Bulldogs won in straight sets at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 6 to earn the victory.
The matches at No. 3, No. 4 and No.5 singles were unfinished in the second sets.
The Penguins close out their trip to South Carolina with a match against Charleston on Saturday. First serve at the Turner Tennis Center at Patriots Point is set for 11 a.m.
