Northridge, Calif. – The Youngstown State women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to CSUN on Wednesday at the Matador Tennis Center.
The Penguins won a doubles match while Sarah Partida Garcia picked up a singles win.
In doubles, Lorena Cedeno and Garcia earned a 6-3 win at No. 3. The Matadors earned the points with a 6-2 win at No. 1 and 7-5 win at No. 2.
In singles, Garcia collected a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 6. At No. 5, Line Greyling dropped a three-set contest, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4. CSUN won the other four contests in straight sets.
YSU closes out its trip to California with a Thursday match against Long Beach State. First serve is set for 2 p.m. Eastern/11 a.m. Pacific.
