Fullerton, Calif. – The Youngstown State women's tennis team won the doubles point against Fullerton as the Penguins opened their week-long trip to California.
The Penguins (5-7) dropped their contest to the Titans (8-2), 6-1, at the Titan Tennis Courts on a sunny Tuesday morning.
In doubles, YSU won at No. 1 and No. 2. At No. 1, Yoana Dudova and Hanna Telzyska won by a 6-3 score. At No. 2, Line Greyling and Yeseniia Ovcharova also won their match by a 6-3 margin.
In singles, Fullerton won five of the six matches in straight sets. At No. 5, Greyling won her first set 7-5, before dropping the final two sets.
The Penguins are back in action on Wednesday when they face CSUN at the Matador Tennis Center in Northridge.
