The Youngstown State women's tennis team picked up a 6-1 win over St. Bonaventure on Friday afternoon at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center.
The Penguins improved to 6-9 on the season with the dual win and are 4-2 at home.
YSU won five of six singles contests and picked up the doubles point in the win.
In doubles, Yoana Dudova and Hanna Telzynska collected a 6-1 win at No. 1 while at No. 3, Lorena Cedeno and Sarah Partida Garcia cruised to a 6-0 victory.
In singles, the Guins won four contests in straight sets. At No. 1, Telzynska won 6-3, 6-2. Lorena Cedeno picked up a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 2. At No. 5, Line Greyling collected a 6-1, 7-6 (5) win while at No. 6, Partida picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win.
Two matches went three sets. At No. 3, Yeseniia Ovcharova won by a 6-4, 3-6, 10-5 score while the Bonnies won at No. 4, 5-7, 6-2, 10-8.
The Guins are at home on Saturday morning when they face Mercyhurst. First serve is set for 11 a.m. at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center.
