The Youngstown State men's tennis team heads to South Carolina for three matches during Spring Break week.
The No. 73 Penguins face The Citadel on Tuesday, South Carolina State on Friday and Charleston on Saturday. Tomorrow's match against the Bulldogs is slated for 1:30 p.m. at the Earle Tennis Center. Friday's match vs. SC State Bulldogs is at 1 p.m. while Saturday's contest vs. Charleston is set for 2 p.m. at the Turner Tennis Center.
YSU enters the week with an 8-1 overall record and has won its last seven straight contests. Last week the Guins beat Niagara, 4-1, in their lone match.
The Penguins last played The Citadel on March 21, 2000. YSU last faced Charleston on March 24, 1998. The last documented match vs. South Carolina State was on March 27, 1986.
In singles this spring, YSU is 31-12 while owning a 16-8 in completed doubles matches.
