Cynor's Victory Highlights CSCAA National Invitational Championships

Ocala, Fla. – The Youngstown State men's and women's swimming programs continued postseason action this weekend at the CSCAA National Invitational Championships inside the Florida Aquatics Swimming and Training (FAST) facility. The men placed an impressive seventh in the meet registering 351.5 points. Kentucky won the women's title while Queens were the men's champions.
Thursday Highlights
- The men's 400-medley relay squad of Quinn Cynor, James Slessor, Lorenz Beck, and Pablo Santos finished fifth with a time of 3:11.26.
- James Slessor had a strong performance in the men's 50 breaststroke, finishing seventh with a time of 24.49. Adrian Andres Moreno placed 14th with a time of 24.98.
- The men's 200-free relay team of Quinn Cynor, Jacob Gramer, Noah Smith, and Reid Withey placed 15th with a collective time of 1:21.58.
- Pablo Santos placed 15th in the men's 50 backstroke with a time of 22.54. He was followed by Elliot Elmore, who finished 20th with a time of 22.89.
- Jacob Gramer finished 15th in the men's 50 butterfly with a time of 21.72. Lorenz Beck also competed in the event, finishing 18th with a time of 21.85.
Friday Highlights
- Quinn Cynor had a phenomenal showing in the men's 200 free as he was the runner-up with a time of 1:34.69,
- The men's 200-medley relay team of Quinn Cynor, James Slessor, Jacob Gramer, and Noah Smith finished fourth with a time of 1:26.76.
- James Slessor placed sixth in the men's 100 breaststroke with a time of 53.27. Adrian Andres Moreno finished 13th with a time of 53.78.
- Lorenz Beck finished 16th in the men's 100 butterfly with a time of 48.20, while Valer Kennedy finished 20th after clocking a time of 49.04.
- Olivia Sweetman placed 19th in the women's 200 free with a time of 1:50.57.
- The women's 800-free relay team of Olivia Sweetman, Orla Maccines, Hannah Murray, and Derin Donmez finished 32nd with a collective time of 7:37.09.
Saturday Highlights:
- Quinn Cynor placed first in a highly contested men's 200 butterfly as he won with a time of 1:45.83, just six-hundredths of a second faster than the second-place time. Valer Kennedy finished fifth with a time of 1:47.14.
- The 400-free relay team of Quinn Cynor, Jacob Gramer, Lorenz Beck, and Noah Smith finished sixth with a time of 2:56.21.
- James Slessor clocked a time of 1:58.68 in the men's 200 breaststroke, placing 12th, while Adrian Andres Moreno finished 18th in the event after swimming a time of 2:00.32.
- Olivia Sweetman finished 15th in the women's 1000 free with a time of 10:10.10, while Derin Donmez placed 39th with a time of 10:36.47.
- Olivia Sweetman placed 16th in the women's 1650 free with a time of 16:52.69, while Derin Donmez finished 39th with a time of 17:38.27.
- Pablo Santos finished 20th in the men's 200 backstroke with a time of 1:48.94.
