Toledo, Ohio – The Youngstown State women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Toledo at the Twos Athletic Club on Friday afternoon.
The Penguins fall to 5-6 on the season while the Rockets are now 5-4.
In doubles, YSU collected a victory at No. 3 as Lydia Foster and Diane Piranda teamed up for a 6-2 decision. Toledo won at No. 1, 7-5 and at No. 2, 6-4.
In singles, Yeseniia Ovcharova picked up a three-set win at No. 3. She won by a score of 7-6 (3), 4-6, 10-7. At No. 1, Hanna Telzynska lost a tough three-set contest.
The Penguins head to California for three matches over Spring Break next week. YSU's first match is against Fullerton on Tuesday.
