The Youngstown State women's tennis team advanced two duos to Sunday's doubles semifinals to headline day two of the Horizon League Individual Championships at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center.
Advancing with an 8-3 win were Lorena Cedeno and Lydia Foster while Yeseniia Ovcharova and Line Greyling advanced via a walkover. Both pairs will compete in the semifinals on Sunday morning.
In the other doubles match, Yoana Dudova and Hanna Telzynska trailed 7-4 before tying the match 7-all to force a tiebreaker. However, the Guins lost the tiebreaker, 7-2.
In singles, Ovcharova and Greyling won consolation matches in straight sets while Diane Piranda collected her first collegiate win in the consolation bracket as well.
