Ethan Faulkner was formally introduced as the 14th head coach of the Youngstown State men's basketball program on Wednesday at an introductory press conference at Beeghly Center.

Faulkner made an opening statement and spoke for more than eight minutes before taking questions from the Youngstown media, and then broke off for one-on-one interviews. He conveyed that he was honored and humbled for this opportunity to lead the program. Faulkner thanked YSU President Bill Johnson, Executive Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Ron Strollo, the YSU Board of Trustees for their support and confidence.

Filled with gratitude, Faulkner thanked the several members of his family in attendance, and several coaching mentors throughout his career, including former Youngstown State head coach Jerrod Calhoun.

Faulkner gave updates on the YSU roster and the new coaching staff before speaking on the Penguins' anticipated style of play and culture.

He closed his remarks addressing the City of Youngstown. Faulkner asked for its continued support and recognized and thanked Penguins fans for making the Beeghly Center one of the best game-day atmospheres at the mid-major level and the best one in the Horizon League.

Following the question-and-answer session and the one-on-one interviews, Faulkner received a warm welcome at a special meet-and-greet in the Courtside Coaches Court in Beeghly Center.
