Cleveland, Ohio – Five players scored in double figures, but the Youngstown State men's basketball team fell to Cleveland State, 81-73, on Saturday at the Wolstein Center.
Ziggy Reid led the Penguins with 19 points while DJ Burns collected his 10th straight double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds. EJ Farmer came off the bench and scored 12 points while Brett Thompson scored 12 and Brandon Rush added 10.
The Penguins fall to 19-9 overall and 11-6 in the Horizon League while Cleveland State improve to 16-11 overall and 9-7 in the league.
Leading the Vikings was Tristan Enaruna with 31 points.
The teams battled through seven ties and six lead changes and neither team led by more nine points.
The Penguins committed 18 turnovers and Cleveland State capitalized by converting those miscues into 27 points.
Youngstown State visits Milwaukee, Friday, Feb. 23. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. at UWM Panther Arena in Milwaukee, Wis.
