The Youngstown State men's basketball team opens Horizon League play when it visits Robert Morris, Wednesday, Dec. 4. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. at the UPMC Events Center in Moon Township, Pa. The game will be broadcast on 570 WKBN and ESPN+.

Youngstown State posted a 128-60 win over Bethany on Nov. 30. Gabe Dynes led six players scoring in double figure with a career-high 23 points while Cris Carroll poured in a career-best 20 points.

Series vs. Robert Morris
This is the 30th meeting between Youngstown State and Robert Morris in a series dating back to 1989. The Penguins own a slim 15-14 advantage in the all-time series and have won the last two contests. The Penguins own an 8-7 lead in games played in Moon Township, Pa., and they have won four of the last five contests at Robert Morris.

Scouting Robert Morris
Robert Morris enters the game with an overall record of 6-3 and is coming off an 84-68 loss to Ohio on Nov. 30. The Colonials are led by Josh Omojafo with 11.9 points per game while Alvaro Folgueiras has 11.2 points per contest.  Amerion Dickerson is in double figures as well with 10.1 points per game. The Colonials are averaging 71.6 points per game while allowing 67.7 points per contest.

Guins Set Assist Record
Youngstown State set a school single-game record with 38 assists against Bethany on Nov. 30. Nico Galette led the Penguins with a career-high eight assists while junior Juwan Maxey dished out seven. Cris Carroll and Siem Uijtendaal each delivered four assists.

More For the Record Book
Youngstown State's 128 points and .636 field-goal percentage against Bethany rank as the third-highest in school history while the Penguins 68-point margin of victory ranks fifth all-time.

Down on the Farm
Senior EJ Farmer has turned up his offensive production over the last six games. Farmer averaged 16 points and 3.3 rebounds per game and shot 44.9 percent from the field during that span. He has scored at least 10 points in five of those contests, including a pair of 20-point games.

Carroll Sets Career Highs
Junior Cris Carroll set several career bests in the Penguins win over Bethany on Nov. 30. Not only did he score a career-high 20 points, but Carroll also boasted career highs with four 3-pointers made, eight rebounds, seven field-goals made, and four assists.

To The Max
Junior Juwan Maxey played two of his best offensive games of year last week for the Penguins. Maxey scored 12 points and made a career-high four 3-pointers and dished out a career-best seven assists. He added 10 points with another seven assists against Bethany. He leads the Penguins with 22 assists and 16 3-pointers made on the season.

Dynes Nearing 100 Blocks
Sophomore Gabe Dynes is establishing himself as one of the best shot blockers in school history in just his second season. Dynes has 83 career blocked shots and ranks fifth all-time in school history. He needs 17 more to become just the fifth Youngstown State player to record at least 100 blocks in a career.
