Due to a power outage affecting multiple buildings on the Youngstown State University campus, the Penguins' season-opening women's basketball game has been canceled. The men's basketball game that was scheduled to follow as part of a doubleheader has been postponed.

The women's game against North Dakota will not be rescheduled. More information about a possible rescheduling of the men's basketball game against Westminster will be announced.

The lights in Zidian Family Arena at Beeghly Center went out around 5 p.m., approximately 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of the women's game against North Dakota.
