The Youngstown State men's basketball team closes out its quick two-game homestand when it faces Bethany Saturday, Nov. 30. Tipoff is slated for 6 p.m. at Zidian Family Arena at Beeghly Center. The game will be broadcast on 570 WKBN and ESPN+.

Scouting Bethany
Bethany enters the game with an overall record of 5-1 and is coming off an 87-80 loss to Waynesburg on Nov. 26. The Bethany is led by Ryan Reasbeck with 20.8 points per game while Cole Dailey averages 16 points per game. Three other players average at least 13.3 points per game, and the Bison are averaging 97.8 points per game as a team. The Bison, who average 12.5 3-pointer made per game, also allow 89.8 points per game.
Series vs. Bethany
This is just the second meeting between Youngstown State and Bethany. The only other contest between the schools was last season. The Penguins defeated the Bison, 107-70 on Dec. 14, 2023.
Down on the Farm
Senior EJ Farmer has turned up his offensive production over the last five games. Farmer averaged 16.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game and shot 44.1 percent from the field during that span. He has scored at least 10 points in four of those contests, including a pair of 20-point games.
To The Max
Junior Juwan Maxey played on of his best offensive games of year in the Penguins' loss to Western Michigan. Maxey scored 12 points and made a career-high four 3-pointers and dished out a career-best seven assists. He leads the Penguins with 14 3-pointers made on the season.
Dynes Nearing 100 Blocks
Sophomore Gabe Dynes is establishing himself as one of the best shot blockers in school history in just his second season. Dynes has 83 career blocked shots and ranks fifth all-time in school history. He needs 17 more to become just the fifth Youngstown State player to record at least 100 blocks in a career.
