Nacogdoches, Texas – The Youngstown State men's basketball team dropped a 67-42 decision to Presbyterian on Friday afternoon at the William R. Johnson Coliseum.
With the loss, the Penguins fall to 2-3 overall while the Blue Hose improve to 4-3 on the year.
Fifth-year senior Ty Harper led the Penguins with 12 points while senior EJ Farmer added 10 points with three steals.
The Penguins never found their rhythm from the field shooting just 27.1 percent from the field and going just 6-for-27 from 3-point range.
Presbyterian had five players score in double figures led by Jonah Pierce's 20 points and nine rebounds.
Youngstown State closes out the 2024 Axe 'Em Classic against Stephen F. Austin, Saturday, Nov. 23. Tipoff is slate for 7 p.m. Eastern.
