Programs Picked Atop #HLTF Indoor Preseason Polls

Both the Youngstown State men's and women's track and field programs have been tabbed as the preseason favorites to capture the 2025 Horizon League Championship. The conference announced the Under Armour #HLTF preseason polls on Wednesday.
The men were picked to finish ahead of Milwaukee, Purdue Fort Wayne and Oakland. The women and Milwaukee tied in the poll with Purdue Fort Wayne third and Oakland fourth.
This year's league meet will be held March 1-2 at the Lutheran Health Fieldhouse in Fort Wayne, Ind. Purdue Fort Wayne will serve as the host school.
The YSU men have won the last nine indoor meets. In 2024 at Youngstown, the Penguins scored a conference record 275 points to win the championship by 132.5 points over Milwaukee.
The women's program has won nine of the last 11 indoor crowns and seven of the last eight. Last year, the Penguins came in second behind Milwaukee.
