Both Programs Slated Fourth in #HLSD Preseason Poll

The Youngstown State men's and women's swimming and diving programs were each slated fourth in the Under Armour #HLSD Preseason Poll, the Horizon League announced Thursday.
The YSU women earned 17 points in their fourth-place ranking after finishing a program-best fourth in team standings at the Horizon League Championships during the 2022-23 season.
Oakland, the reigning champion, was slated to win the league with 36 points and received all six first-place votes. IUPUI was picked to finish second with 29 points while Milwaukee rounded out the top three with 25 points. After Youngstown State, Cleveland State was slated fifth, receiving 12 points, while Green Bay was picked sixth with seven points.

In the men's fourth-place preseason ranking, they received 20 points. The YSU men also finished fourth in team standings at the 2022-23 HL Championships, which additionally marked a program best.
IUPUI was slated to win the league with 33 points by a narrow margin over Oakland, the reigning champion. Oakland was picked second with 32 points and shared first-place votes half-and-half with IUPUI, each receiving three. Cleveland State was slated to finish third with 23 points ahead of YSU while Milwaukee and Green Bay received 11 and seven points to finish fifth and sixth, respectively.
