Women’s Golf Announces Fall Schedule

The Youngstown State women's golf team will compete in five events across four different states from early September to mid-October during the fall portion of its 2023-24 season. Head Coach Nate Miklos announced the team's complete fall schedule on Tuesday.
"I'm excited about our upcoming fall schedule," Miklos said. "It will provide a good mix of playing against some great competition at Penn State and Central Michigan as well as some events where our team is one of the favorites. Another benefit is that we will only miss four days of class during the fall season."
The Penguins will begin the fall campaign by hosting the YSU Kickoff on Sept. 2 at Mill Creek Golf Course in Boardman, Ohio. YSU will then travel to University Park, Pa., for Penn State's Nittany Lion Invitational at the Penn State Blue Course on Sept. 16-17.
Youngstown State will then play host to the ninth annual Roseann Schwartz Invitational on Sept. 23-24 at Mill Creek Golf Course. The event is named in honor of Roseann Schwartz, who was the YSU women's golf coach from the program's inception in 1996 until 2013. Schwartz was inducted into the YSU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2021.
YSU will begin the month of October with Niagara's Purple Eagles Invitational at Diamond Hawk Golf Course in Cheektowaga, N.Y. (Oct. 1-2). The Penguins will then conclude their fall slate on Oct. 16-17 with the Chippewa Invitational hosted by Central Michigan at Birmingham Country Club in Birmingham, Mich.
