Sifflerlin Finishes Fifth at USATF U-20 Earns Invite to Pan American Games

Eugene, Oregon - Youngstown State pole vaulter Blake Sifferlin finished an impressive fifth at the USA Track and Field Under-20 National Championships on Saturday afternoon at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.

Sifferlin cleared a best height of 5.10m at the meet and at the conclusion of the event received an invitation to the 2023 Pan Am U-20 Championships, which will be August 4-6 at Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.

In Eugene, Sifferlin cleared the bar on his first attempt at 4.85m and on his second tries at 5.00m and 5.10m. Texas A&M's Jack Mann won by clearing 5.30m. Sifferlin was one of just four collegiate athletes to clear 5.10m at the meet.
