Seven Penguins Earn CSC Academic All-District Recognition

The Youngstown State men's and women's track and field teams had seven student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, the organization announced on Wednesday.
Penguins earning All-District recognition were Ryan Meadows, Zach Gray, Dominic Perry, Olivia Jones, Morgan Cole, Jahniya Bowers and Nia Williams-Matthews. All seven received Academic All-Horizon League accolades on Tuesday.
The 2023 Academic All-District® Men's Track & Field / Cross Country Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. The CSC Academic AllAmerica® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic AllAmerica® honorees will be announced June 29.
