Three Men's Tennis Student-Athletes Named CSC Academic All-District

Youngstown State men's tennis student-athletes Laurentiu Mandocescu, Javier Gonzalez Pla and Clement Mainguy have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team for 2022-23.
The 2023 Academic All-District® Men's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced May 31.
Mandoscecu was named to the CSC Academic All-District At-Large team in 2021-22. This is the first year the organization is recognizing tennis student-athletes with their own all-district team.
In 2022-23, Pla and Mainguy received Academic All-Horizon League accolades.
