Three Guins Earn Valeo Horizon League Women's Tennis Academic Accolades

The Youngstown State women's tennis team had three student-athletes earn Valeo Academic All-Horizon League accolades, the league announced on Thursday. Earning all-league honors was Cecilia Rosas while Lili Minich and Elisa Rigazio were named to the Honorable-Mention team.
It marks Rosas' second straight Horizon League Academic selection. A two-time All-Horizon League pick for the Penguins, she picked up her 50th YSU career singles win on Monday vs. IUPUI. She has a career-best and team-high 18 singles wins this season. Minich has 11 wins this season while Rigazio is 7-3 this spring.
The Horizon League recognizes student-athletes with seasonal Academic All-League Teams in each of its 19 championship sports. To be eligible for Horizon League All-Academic consideration, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 or higher (based on a 4.00 scale), have completed at least one year at the member institution, having earned 24 semester-hour or 36 quarter-hour credits, and participate in 50 percent of the team's overall contests. An Honorable Mention is awarded to student-athletes who received at least 25 percent of votes, but did not make the All-Academic team.
The Guins play host to Oakland on Sunday morning at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center. First serve is set for 11 a.m.
