Loudtragulngam Named Horizon League Women’s Golfer of the Week

Youngstown State junior golfer Titita Loudtragulngam has been named the Nike® Horizon League Women's Golfer of the Week, the league office announced on Thursday.
Loudtragulngam earned medalist honors to lead Youngstown State to its school record-tying fifth victory of the season on Friday at the YSU Spring Invitational at Youngstown Country Club in Youngstown, Ohio. The Chonburi, Thailand, native won the tournament by two strokes to earn medalist honors for the first time in her career.
Loudtragulngam fired a four-over-par 75 in chilly, windy conditions that featured an even-par 36 on the front nine. After beginning the round with a bogey on No. 1, she bounced back with a birdie on No. 2 before carding seven consecutive pars on the front nine. The junior transfer from Tulsa recorded 13 pars and a birdie on the par-four No. 2 in total for the round.
Loudtragulngam became the third different Penguin to collect medalist honors this season while earning her fifth top-five finish of the campaign. She earns weekly recognition from the league for the first time and joins Madie Smithco as the second Penguin to earn weekly honors this season.
Youngstown State will play its final tournament before the Horizon League Championships this weekend. The Penguins will compete in the Navy Spring Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at the United States Naval Academy Golf Club in Annapolis, Md.
