Youngstown State returns to action when it visits Big Ten member Michigan, Friday, Nov. 10, Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. in Ann Arbor, Mich. The game will be broadcast on 570 WKBN and the Big Ten Network.

Series vs. Michigan
This is the sixth meeting between Youngstown State and Michigan in a series that dates back to 1984. The Wolverines have won all five previous contests against the Penguins, including a 105-46 victory in the most recent game in 2015.Â
YSU Against the B1G
Youngstown State owns an all-time record of 0-20 against teams from the Big Ten Conference. In the last meeting against the Wolverines, Cameron Morse led the Penguins with 10 points while Brett Frantz scored nine points on three 3-pointers. The Penguins have played both Michigan and Ohio State five times each, Minnesota four times, and Penn State, Purdue, and Michigan State two times apiece. This is the first game against a Big Ten foe since the Penguins lost to Penn State, 75-59, on Nov. 10, 2022.
Scouting Michigan
Michigan enters the game with a 1-0 record after knocking off UNC-Asheville, 99-74, on Nov. 7. The Wolverines were led by Oliver Nkamhoua with 25 points and Dug McDaniel with 22. In total four players reached double figures. Michigan connected on 12 3-pointers and shot 56.7 percent overall from the field. McDaniel led the Wolverines with four 3s.

Over the last two seasons, Youngstown State has flourished during the transfer portal era. The Penguins own a record of 43-26 over the past two-plus campaigns, and produced five all-conference selections. Youngstown State has been tough to beat at home over the last two years posting a 27-10 mark.

Fifth-year graduate student DJ Burns has had a solid collegiate career. Burns has scored more than 800 points and grabbed more than 600 rebounds prior to coming to Youngstown State. He also owns a career field-goal percentage of .546 and a career free-throw percentage of .770. He needs just 181 more points for 1,000 for his career.Â
Rush, Reid Nearing 200 3s
Youngstown State fifth-year seniors Brandon Rush and Ziggy Reid on both approaching the 200 career made 3-pointers plateau. Rush has made 196 3s during his career, including 77 last season with the Penguins. Reid has connected on 146 3-pointers and made 55 in 2022-23 at Merrimack.
Langdon Nearing Marks
Fifth-year senior Bryson Langdon is approaching a couple of career milestones. The Chicago, Ill., native has scored 717 career points and dished out 328 career assists. He needs just 283 points to reach 1,000 for his career and 72 more assists for 400.
