Track and Field, Cross Country Programs Ink Distance Runner Patrick Burgos

Youngstown State head track and field coach Brian Gorby announced that Patrick Burgos has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Youngstown State men's track and field and cross country programs for the 2024-25 season.
Burgos, a native of Elizabeth, Pa., impresses both on the track and on the cross country course. During the 2023 cross country season, Burgos concluded his senior season with an impressive third-place finish at the PIAA 2A State XC Championships. The standout distance runner from Elizabeth Forward High School owns a personal best of 15:11 in the 5k.
On the track, Burgos clocked a personal-best time of 4:17 in the 1600m at the 2023 PIAA District 7 (WPIAL) Championships, where he finished sixth. Burgos also has run personal records of 2:02 in the 800m and 9:51 in the 3200m.
