YSU Women's Golf Announces Spring Schedule

The Youngstown State women's golf team will compete in six events across three different states from mid-February to late April during the spring portion of its 2023-24 season. Head Coach Nate Miklos announced the team's complete spring schedule on Tuesday.
"We are extremely excited to have the opportunity to travel and compete in Florida to begin our spring season," said Miklos. "Then we have a few great events against conference opponents before finishing with our home event at Avalon Lakes. It's always great to host an event, and we are very excited to host at such an incredible facility before traveling back to Florida for the Horizon League Championships."
The Penguins will begin their spring season on Feb. 10-12 with the Columbia Classic presented by Moon Golf at Duran Golf Club in Melbourne, Fla. After a three-week break, YSU will return south for the Howard University Lady Bison Invitational on March 4-5 at Hawkstone Country Club in Gainesville, Fla.
Youngstown State will continue its spring slate on March 18-19 with the Nevel Meade Invitational hosted by Cleveland State at Nevel Meade Golf Course in Prospect, Ky. The Penguins will close out the month of March with The Julie hosted by Northern Kentucky on March 25-26 at Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia, Ohio.
The Guins will then play host to the YSU Spring Invitational on April 7-8 at Avalon Lakes Golf Course in Warren, Ohio. The spring season will culminate with the 2024 Horizon League Golf Championships on April 20-22 at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla. The NCAA Regionals are slated for May 8-10 at six different regional sites.
The Penguins are coming off a highly successful fall season that included four tournament victories in five total events. YSU claimed tournament titles at the YSU Kickoff, the Roseann Schwartz Invitational, Niagara's Purple Eagles Invitational and Central Michigan's Chippewa Invitational. In addition, three different Penguins earned individual tournament titles during the fall campaign.
