
Penguins Open Fall Slate at Joe Feagnes Marshall Invite

Huntington, W. Va. – The Youngstown State men's golf team opened its 2022 fall campaign at the 54-hole Joe Feagnes Marshall which concluded on Tuesday at Guyan Golf and Country Club.
YSU had three golfers finish in the top 60 led by Bryan Kordupel, Cade Kreps and Dean Austalosh. Austalosh golfed as an individual at the tournament.
Kordupel placed 52nd with a three-round total of 221. He posted rounds of 75, 73 and 73 at the tournament. Kreps shot up the leaderboard on the final day to finish 56th with a 222. Kreps had rounds of 74, 76 and 72 at the Guyan course. Kreps' final-round 72 marked the lowest round of his career. Austalosh also finished with a 222 following rounds of 72, 78 and 72.
Cole Christman fired a three-round 226, Ryan Sam finished with a 227 in his YSU debut and Brian Terlesky carded a 237.
The Penguins tied Mount St. Mary's for 14th-place with a three-round team total of 892. YSU had rounds of 292, 304 and 296 in its season opener. Appalachian State took home the title with a 845 while Marshall was second with an 849 and Belmont and Eastern Michigan tied for third at 850.
