Penguins Drop Contest to Cardinals

Muncie, Ind. - The Youngstown State women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Ball State on Sunday afternoon at the Northwest YMCA in Muncie.

YSU (4-5) earned a hard-fought win at No. 1 singles, but the Cardinals (6-2) earned the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3. At No. 1, Cecilia Rosas and Julia Marko earned a 7-6 (5) win over Livia Lukacs and Emma Peeler. Ball State won 6-3 and 6-0 in the other two matches.

In singles, BSU won all six matches in straight sets.

YSU returns to action on Thursday when it visits Buffalo.
