Penguins Earn Two Singles Victories at West Virginia on Sunday

Morgantown, W. Va. - Youngstown State's Julia Marko and Elisa Rigazio earned singles victories for the Youngstown State women's tennis team on Sunday at West Virginia.

The Mountaineers (4-2) won the match 5-2 by taking the doubles point and winning the other four singles contest against the Guins (2-4).

Marko picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win over Anastasia Bovolskaia at No. 3 singles. At No. 4 singles, Rigazio had 6-3, 6-3 win over Michaela Kucharova.

At No. 5, Lili Minich dropped a hard-fought three-set contest to Tatiana Lipatova.

The Penguins are back in action next weekend when the host a pair of matches. YSU entertains Saint Francis on Saturday and Bowling Green on Sunday.
