
Penguins Sweep Nike #HLSD Athletes of the Week

The Youngstown State men's and women's swimming and diving programs swept the Nike #HLSD Athlete of the Week Awards following their impressive victory over Cleveland State on Saturday, the league announced on Wednesday.
Sophomore Aleksa Radenovic was named the Men's Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season. Radenovic earned three individual event victories in YSU's win over Cleveland State. He swam a 49.00 in the 100 fly and a 1:48.38 in the 200 fly to finish first in both events. He also placed first in the 200 IM, clocking a 1:53.45. He set pool records in both the 100 fly and 200 IM. He was also a member of the winning 200 medley relay team that clocked a 1:31.75 to set a pool record.
Freshman standout Miriam Frass was named the Women's Swimmer of the week after earning three individual event victories on Saturday. She clocked a 5:10.64 in the 500 free and a 10:47.13 in the 1000 free to finish first in both events. She also placed first in the 200 free, clocking a 1:54.36.
Sophomore Simon Iwanonkiw was named the Men's Diver of the Week after scoring a 261.83 to earn the victory in the three-meter dive. He was also third in the one-meter dive with a score of 221.85.
Senior Kayla Wrasman was named the Women's Diver of the Week after sweeping the diving events on Saturday. She scored a 237.75 to finish first in the one-meter dive and a 233.85 to win the three-meter.
