Penguins Fall to Northern Kentucky

Cincinnati, Ohio - The Youngstown State men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Northern Kentucky on Saturday night at the Lindner Tennis Center at Lunken.
The Penguins drop to 11-8 overall and 4-3 in the Horizon League while NKU improves to 9-3 and 5-2.
Northern Kentucky won the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles.
In singles play, two of the four matches went three sets. The Norse picked up straight set wins at No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 5 singles.
Earning a point for the Penguins was Will Everett with a three-set win at No. 6 singles. Everett picked up a 7-5, 4-6, 10-7 win over Trevor Ball. For the second straight match, Erik Gran dropped a hard-fought contest at No. 4. Gran lost to Jorge Rodriguez by a score of 4-6, 6-4, 15-13.
The Penguins and Norse play the final match of the regular season tomorrow. First serve is set for 2:30 p.m.
