Penguins Fall 5-2 to UC Riverside in Spring Break Opener

The Youngstown State women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to UC Riverside on Monday afternoon at the SRC Tennis Center.
Tamara Teufl and Elvira Esteo picked up singles wins for the Penguins against the Highlanders. Esteo defeated Hanh Pham 6-3, 6-3 while Teufl won her first set 7-6 against Mahli Silpachai before earning a win when Silpachai retired.
UCR won the other four singles matches in straight sets and won all three doubles matches.
The Penguins are back in action on Thursday against San Diego State.
