Zagar, Esteo Earn Wins Against Buffalo

Lucia Zagar and Elvira Esteo earned singles wins for the Youngstown State women's tennis team in a 5-2 defeat to Buffalo on Saturday afternoon at the Avalon Athletic Club of Boardman.

Zagar earned a 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles over Buffalo's Ambre Amat. At No. 6 singles, Esteo earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory.

At No. 3, Jessica Stanmore dropped a three-set decision - 6-3, 6-7, 10-5 - to Gabriella Akopyan.

The Penguins are next in action on Feb. 21 when they take on UTEP in Las Vegas, Nevada.
