Penguins Fall to Weber State, UNLV on Sunday

Las Vegas, Nevada - The Youngstown State women's tennis team dropped a pair of matches on Sunday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex. YSU suffered a 4-1 loss to Weber State and a 4-0 defeat to UNLV.
In the contest against the Wildcats, Jessica Stanmore earned a win at No. 3 singles. Stanmore picked up a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Pei-Hauan Kuo.
The Penguins also earned a win at No. 1 doubles as Elvira Esteo and Tamara Teufl won 7-6 against Caitlin Herb and Ana Morett Salas.
In the match later in the day vs. UNLV, Cassandra Moraleja battled to a third set with Olivia Elliott in an unfinished contest. The Rebels won in straight sets at No. 2, No. 5 and No. 6 singles.
YSU returns to action on Saturday when it takes on Niagara at the Avalon Athletic Club of Boardman.
