Penguins Fall to Azusa Pacific to Open California Trip

Azusa, Calif. - The Youngstown State men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Azusa Pacific on Monday afternoon at the M&B Tennis Complex.
With the loss, YSU falls to 5-7 on the season while the Cougars, who are ranked sixth at the NCAA Division II level, improve to 9-0.
The Penguins dropped four of the six singles matches in straight sets. Yossi Dahan picked up a 7-5, 6-2 win over Alan Leahy at No. 6. At No. 2, Danylo Veremeichuk dropped a 6-4, 4-6, 10-6 contest to APU's Christian Schmid. The Cougars have three of the top 26 ranked singles players in Division II.
YSU is back in action on Tuesday when it takes on UC Riverside.
