Bishop Reaches Finals of 500 Freestyle to Highlight Day Two

Cleveland, Ohio - Youngstown State's Taylor Bishop finished eighth in the 500-yard freestyle to lead the Penguins on the second day of the Horizon League Championships on Thursday at the Busbey Natatorium.
Bishop qualified with a time of 5:00.83 before swimming a time of 5:04.96 in the finals. Haley Fisher finished 16h in the 200 IM with a time of 2:11.09.
Leading YSU in the 500 freestyle was senior Kolbrun Jonsdottir who was 23rd with a time of 24.25 seconds.
The Penguins finished off the evening swimming a time of 1:37.08 in the 200-yard frestyle relay.
Events on tap for Friday include the 100-yard Butterfly, 400 IM, 200-yard Freestyle, 100-yard Breaststroke, 100-yard Backstroke, Women's 1-Meter Diving and 400-yard Medley Relay.
