Penguins Win Pine Hills Shootout; Morris, Cooper Take Top Two Spots

Hinckley, Ohio - The Youngstown State women's golf team had a strong performance in its final contest before the upcoming Horizon League Championships winning a three-team event on Friday at the Pine Hills Golf Course in Hinckley, Ohio.
The Penguins posted a score of 310 to defeat Bowling Green which carded a 317 and Cleveland State which finished with a 326.
Freshman Reva Morris continued her outstanding freshman season with a low round of 72 (even par) to take medalist honors. For Morris it was her ninth top-10 finish in 10 events this year.
Placing second was Christina Cooper who carded a 76. Finishing sixth was senior Mia Barchetti with a round of 80. Junior Courtney Shutt was eighth with an 82. Haleigh Guerrero shot an 84 to place 12th while Megan Creager finished 16th.
The Penguins are next in action on April 23-25 at the Horizon League Championships in Florida.
