Penguins Battle Elements to Win Jaguar/Crusader Invitational

Lebanon, Ind. - The Youngstown State women's golf team battled through windy and rainy conditions on Sunday to win the one-round Jaguar/Crusader Invitational at the Trophy Club. YSU carded a total of 322 to win by nine shots.
IUPUI finished second with a 331 while Valparaiso was third with a 340. Marian (Ind.) also competed in the four-team meet.
Leading the way was sophomore Courtney Shutt who placed second with a 78. Junior Mia Barchetti carded an 80, senior Emily Dixon and freshman Megan Creager both shot 82's and Emily Rohanna fired an 86.
The Penguins are in next in action on April 22-24 at the Horizon League Championships in Florida.
