Penguins Win Early-Season Dual Match Against Cleveland State

Orlando, Fla. - The Youngstown State women's golf team defeated Cleveland State in dual match on Sunday at the Rio Pinar Country Club. YSU's Christina Cooper shared medalist honors for the dual on a challenging, unseasonable cool and windy day in Orlando.
The Penguins had a team score of 331 while the Vikings finished with a 340.
Cooper carded an 81 and tied CSU's Rayna Oosterhuis for first place. For the Penguins Mia Barchetti shot an 82 while Emily Rohanna, Courtney Shutt and Gabby Minor all fired rounds of 84. Individuals for the Penguins were Megan Creager had an 87 while Haleigh Guerrero shot a 103.
YSU is next in action on Feb. 14-15 at the All There August Challenge hosted by Texas State in New Braunfels, Texas.
