YSU Finishes Fall Slate Third at Dayton Fall Invitational

Kettering, Ohio - The Youngstown State women's golf team finished third at the Dayton Fall Invitational which concluded on Tuesday at the NCR Country Club. It was the final tournament of the fall for the Penguins.
YSU finished with a two-round total of 616 to place behind Findlay and Oakland. The Penguins were just two strokes back following an opening round 301 on Monday, before dropping off the pace on Tuesday. Findlay won the event with a 589 while Oakland was second with a 602. The Guins were three shots ahead of Loyola and four in front of Ohio.
Leading the way was freshman Reva Morris who was tied for third with a two-round 148. Morris was the first-round leader after carding a 70 on Monday. She finished with a 78 in her final round and was seven shots behind the medalist.
Freshman Katlyn Shutt was consistent with 77's in each round and finished 16th with a 154. Courtney Shutt and Megan Creager tied for 25th place with two-round totals of 157. Shutt and Creager both had identical rounds of 77 and 80. Senior Mia Barhcetti finished 32nd with a 159 (79-80).
