
Victoria Orosz Wins Three Events in Dual Meet at IUPUI

Indianapolis, Ind. - Sophomore Victoria Orosz earned three individual wins as the Youngstown State swimming and diving team dropped a 168-129 match to IUPUI at the IUPUI Natatorium on Saturday afternoon.
Also winning multiple events were Madison Aranda (1,000 freestyle, 200 butterfly) and diver Bec Stafford (one and three meter dives).
Orosz won the 500-yard freestyle, the 200-yard freestyle and the 200-yard backstroke. In the 500 free, Orosz took first with a time of 5:11.81 making a charge in the final half of the race to overtake the Jaguars' Jordyn Harrison. Orosz won the 200 free with a time of 1:57.71 placing first by almost a second. She won the 200 back with a time of 2:09.01.
Aranda won the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:32.61 finishing 15 second ahead of the second-place swimmer. She took first in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:05.94. Aranda was second in the 100 butterfly at 58.62 seconds behind Maranda Buha.
Stafford won the one-meter dive with a score of 268.58 and the three-meter with score of 265.35.
Kolbrun Jonsdottir was second in the 100 free clocking in at 53.87 seconds. Zsani Csado was second in the 200 breast with a time of 2:30.18 and second in the 200 IM at 2:11.93.
The Penguins return to the pool on Sunday when they compete at the Butler Invitational.
