Penguins Drop Contest to Gonzaga

Costa Mesa, Calif. - The Youngstown State women's tennis team dropped a 5-0 match to Gonzaga on Wednesday afternoon at the tennis courts at Orange County College.
The Bulldogs (8-1) won the doubles point and then were victorious in the four completed singles matches.
At No. 1, Dominika Lackova and Katie Edwards played to a 1-1 draw. Lackova won the first set 7-6 before dropping the second 6-1. At No. 6, Sofia Mendoza played to a 7-5, 2-3 match against Franziska.
The Guins dropped the other four singles matches in straight sets. Gonzaga won the two completed doubles matches 6-3 and 6-2.
The Penguins are back in action on March 21 when they play at Dayton.
