Program CSCAA Scholar All-America Team For Fall Academic Performance

The Youngstown State swimming and diving program was named a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, supported by Nike Swim, for their academic performance in the 2014 fall semester.
YSU was one of just 45 Division I programs to post a grade-point average above 3.42 this past fall semester, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America announced on Tuesday.
As a group, YSU, Arizona and Fresno State all had 3.42 grade-point averages in the fall semester.
The Fall Team Scholar All American award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher in the fall semester/quarter.
The Penguins are in action at the Horizon League Championships in Brown Deer, Wis., starting on Wednesday morning.
