
Orosz, Dow Pick Up Multiple Wins in Dual at Green Bay

Green Bay, Wis. - Viktoria Orosz won three events while Ashley Dow won two for the Youngstown State swimming and diving team in a dual meet at Green Bay on Saturday afternoon.
Orosz won the 100-yard freestsyle, 200-yard freestyle and the 200 IM while Dow placed first in both backstroke events.
In the 100 free, Orosz took first with a time of 53.17 seconds. In the 200 free, she had a winning time of 1:55.31 while she was first in the 200 IM clocking in at 2:10.06. She won the 200 IM by more than three seconds.
Dow had a time of 58.21 seconds in the 100 backstroke to take first place. In the 200 back, Dow clocked in at 2:07.88 to win the 200 back by one second.
To open the meet, the Guins were second in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:59.75.
Madison Aranda had a strong performance in the 1,650-yard freestyle placing second with a time of 17:48.80. Later, Aranda was second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:13.56.
Jana Janson came in second place with a time of 25.51 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle to place second. Kolbrunn Jonsdottir finished second with a time of 2:30.87 in the 200-yard breaststroke. Rachel Shipp placed second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:00.56.
McKenzie Stelter continued her strong weekend with a second-place performance in the one-meter dive. Stelter scored 253.58 points while Lydia Scheringer was third with a score of 244.35. In the three-meter dive, Stelter was second with a score of 244.13.
The Penguins are next in action on Saturday when they play host to Saint Francis (Pa.) at the Beeghly Natatorium.
