Burak, Sadovnikova Pick Up Singles Wins at Eastern Michigan

Ypsilanti, Mich. - The Youngstown State women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Eastern Michigan on Friday afternoon at the Chippewa Club. Margarita Sadovnikova and Marta Burak picked up wins for the Guins.
Both Burak and Sadovnikova earned wins after dropping the opening sets of their singles matches.
At No. 1, Sadovnikova lost 6-4 in the opener to Klara Supejova before bouncing back to take the second set 6-4 and win the third set 6-4. Burak also dropped her opener 6-4 to Diana Davitaia before picking up 6-0 and 6-4 wins in the final two sets.
The Eagles (7-6) won the doubles point and the first three concluded singles matches.
In doubles play, YSU dropped 8-4 decisions at No. 1 and No. 3 before suffering an 8-3 setback at No. 2.
The Penguins lost in straight set at No. 3, No. 5 and No. 6. At No. 4, Dominicka Lackova lost a three-set decision 7-6, 6-2, 1-0 to EMU's Mariya Toncheva.
The Guins (5-5) will next be in action on Sunday when they start their spring break at Pacific. The match is set to start at 1 p.m. Eastern Time/10 a.m. Pacific.
