Penguins Place Sixth at Horizon League Championships

Cleveland, Ohio - The Youngstown State swimming and diving team finished sixth at the Horizon League Championships which concluded on Saturday night.
Junior Ashley Dow was seventh in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:03.75 to highlight the evening.
Sophomore Jana Janson was 10th in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 52.33 seconds. Senior Megan Ciampa was 13th in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:57.23. Senior Paz finished 15th in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:13.78.
In the 3-meter dive, Lydia Scheringer was ninth with a score of 239.75, Tricia Vallinger was 10th scoring 235.50 and Bailey Dipman placed 11th at 234.80.
YSU finished the meet with 273 points to finish sixth out of eight teams. Oakland won the event with a 764 while Milwaukee was second at 730.
