Penguins Drop Final Dual at Bowling Green

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Youngstown State swimming and diving team closed out the dual portion of its schedule with a 179-110 loss at Bowling Green on Saturday.
The Penguins picked up a win in the 200 IM and both diving events in the contest against the Falcons.
In the 100 backstroke, Dow won in a time of 57.51 seconds to highlight the swimmers' efforts. Additionally she was second in the 200 back with a time of 2:05.82. She finished just .10 behind the winner.
Megan Ciampa placed third in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:26.30.
In the one-meter dive, Megan Siford earned first place with a score of 244.80. Bailey Dipman was second with a 233.10 and Lydia Scheringer was third at 226.95.
In the three-meter it was Scheringer who came out on top with a score of 243.30. Dipman again was second with a 228.52 and Siford placed third with a 224.55.
The Penguins are next in action at the Horizon League Championships which will be held in Cleveland. The event starts on Feb. 26 and will be hosted by Cleveland State.
