Orosz Wins Two Events, Dow One Against Oakland, Ohio

Rochester, Mich. - Freshman Viktoria Orosz won a pair of events while senior Ashley Dow claimed first in the 100-yard backstroke as the Youngstown State swimming and diving team competed against Oakland and Ohio at the Oakland Aquatics Center.
In the team scoring, the Penguins lost to Oakland 202-94 and to Ohio 186-110.
Orosz won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:52.19, was first in the 500 freestyle 5:00.74 while placing second in the 100-yard free 52.24 seconds.
Dow eked out a win in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 56.78 seconds. She finished second in the 200 back with a time of 2:04.28.
Freshman Madison Aranda was second in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:28.05.
In the diving events, freshman McKenzie Stelter was second in the 3-meter with a score of 255.90 and second in the one-meter at 237.77.
The Penguins return to action next Saturday when they play host to Duquesne. The dual meet at the Beeghly Center Natatorium is set to start at noon.
